Primary objective of the job: 


The Marketing Strategy & Performance Manager is responsible for developing, executing, and optimizing integrated marketing strategies and performance-driven campaigns that deliver measurable business outcomes.

Reporting to the Head of Commercial, the role leads the planning and execution of data-driven marketing initiatives across multiple channels to drive customer acquisition, engagement, conversion, retention, and revenue growth. The incumbent will leverage analytics, customer insights, and performance measurement to optimize marketing investments while supporting all Go-to-Market initiatives.

The role also manages strategic marketing partnerships, agency relationships, campaign performance, and budget optimization to ensure every marketing initiative contributes to Digicel's commercial objectives.

 

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute integrated marketing strategies that align with business objectives and commercial priorities.
  • Lead the conceptualization, planning, execution, and evaluation of marketing campaigns, promotional initiatives, communications, collateral, and thought leadership activities.
  • Develop and implement performance marketing strategies, messaging frameworks, customer engagement initiatives, and influencer partnerships.
  • Manage paid marketing channels across Prepaid, Postpaid, Devices, Digicel Business, and Digital platforms to maximize campaign performance and return on investment.
  • Optimize campaign reach, audience targeting, customer engagement, conversions, and overall marketing effectiveness.
  • Build and manage strategic relationships with media agencies, content creators, creative partners, event vendors, digital platforms, and other marketing service providers.
  • Manage and optimize the marketing budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources and maximum commercial return.
  • Own marketing analytics, attribution models, campaign measurement frameworks, and reporting processes.
  • Consolidate, validate, and interpret campaign performance data from internal teams, agency partners, and Group Marketing to provide actionable business insights.
  • Optimize internal and Group reporting tools to improve campaign visibility, marketing effectiveness, and decision-making.
  • Support end-to-end Go-to-Market initiatives, including product ideation, market validation, testing, launch execution, deployment, and post-launch performance monitoring.
  • Lead the communication and presentation of campaign performance, marketing analytics, and strategic recommendations to key stakeholders.
  • Coordinate external communications in partnership with Group External Affairs and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Drive continuous improvement by leveraging customer insights, market intelligence, emerging technologies, and marketing innovation.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing marketing team while fostering collaboration across the business.

 

Academic Qualifications and Experience Required

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Economics, Advertising, Digital Marketing, Communications, Statistics, or a related discipline.
  • Master's Degree (MBA or related field) would be considered an advantage.
  • Professional Certifications (Advantageous): Google Analytics, Google Ads, Meta Advertising Certifications, Digital Marketing Certifications, Project Management Professional (PMP), Marketing Analytics Certifications
  • Minimum of 5–7 years' experience in performance marketing, digital marketing, marketing strategy, business intelligence, or a related commercial role.
  • Proven experience managing integrated, multi-channel marketing campaigns.
  • Demonstrated success driving customer acquisition, engagement, conversion, retention, and lifecycle marketing initiatives.
  • Experience with CRM platforms, customer segmentation, attribution modelling, and digital marketing technologies.
  • Experience managing agency relationships, media investments, and marketing budgets.
  • Experience within telecommunications, technology, FMCG, or a regional multi-market environment would be an asset.

 

Functional Skills:

  • Strong understanding of customer acquisition, activation, retention, and lifecycle marketing.
  • Advanced knowledge of marketing analytics, attribution modelling, campaign measurement frameworks, and reporting dashboards.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
  • Ability to interpret data and translate insights into actionable commercial strategies.

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship management skills.
